A Quick DIY Tip: Unfreezing Your Mac

Sometimes, Mac computers will randomly freeze up.  Sometimes this happens right after the boot-up, and sometimes it happens later, when I’m right in the middle of working on something important.  I tried to diagnose the problem, and thought it was an issue with the hardware—the RAM, or the disk, or something.  When this proved unhelpful, I realized that all I needed to do was to get rid of the cache files on my computer.  So if your computer is freezing up, try doing this first. If it doesn’t work, it may be time to resort to a home tech support service.

Use Professionals When Making Your Move

Any time you are moving your home or business, and especially when you are moving your business to an area that is far away, it is a significant event.  Perhaps you are moving to a more economical place; perhaps you are moving to increase your sales; perhaps you are moving to put your kids into a better school district.  Whatever the reason, you need to consider how you will take this new, big step for your family or for your business.

The best option for a big move is to hire professional movers.  This will eliminate your worry leading up to moving day, and will eliminate much of the hassle on moving day.  Think about the stress and strain of you and your friends hauling all of your boxes out to the truck.  Think, too, about the truck, and the hassle of securing one and getting it back to the right place by the right time.  Think about the liabilities involved in all of this, not to mention the high stress and sore muscles.

Many people think if you have a job, you should keep it because you are one of the lucky few. But what about the people that are making money? Most people will tell you they make their expendable money in the stock market, or purchasing real estate. While this is partially true, one must first actually have money to utilize the stock market – and many people actually lose a lot of money in the stock and real estate game.

The fact of the matter is that most people are already set into their track to wealth starting at a young age. Depending on where they go to school, the value of that education, and the extent to how much education they receive all factor in to how much money they will make. However, there is a breaking point as to whether they will go on to make money for other people – their boss, and their boss’ boss, or whether they will make money for themselves.

Creating a Marketing Plan for Your Start up

There are many quotes that get thrown around when it comes to starting a business, but one of the most effective is Stephen R. Covey author of “The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People (1989), who said one of the major factors in a successful person is that they put “First Things First.” Successful people, and in our case business people, will plan, prioritize and execute their business plan in order to accomplish their goals. If you want your business to grow, you need to have concrete steps on how to get there. You need to be a decision maker. You need to take control and know exactly how and to whom to market your product or service. You cannot sit back and expect things to happen.
